DECISION

Decision

Remember when you went on the road, and I was three, and you came home, and I couldn't recognize you? You were making a name for yourself, you had a future, but you gave it all up to be part of my life. You put aside all your dreams to stay with me. To make sure I knew who my father was.

You decided that.

And I have, every year of my life. Because you've been there. You've been my daddy, every single day. Because you decided to be. Decided it was important. Important to be there.

So can't you do it now? Doctors can be wrong, can't they? Wrong about how sick you are?

Can't you just get better? Can't you just try?

Can't you just decide to live?
